November 09: The Happy Duckling has just scooped Best Animation BAFTA Scotland Award at the Glasgow Science Centre on November 8, 2009. The Jury commented that the film "delivered a finely crafted narrative delivered in an innovative and unique style."

July 09: The Happy Duckling has been picked up for theatrical distribution in France, Belgium, Switzerland and Luxemburg, by prestigious French company Folimage, for their "Mélie pain d'épice" children shorts compilation.

April 09: The Happy Duckling will screen at SIGGRAPH 2009 Computer Animation Festival scheduled for August 2009, in the animated short category. SIGGRAPH 2009 will bring an anticipated 20,000 computer graphics and interactive technology professionals from six continents to New Orleans, Louisiana, USA for the industry's most respected technical and creative programs focusing on research, science, art, animation, music, gaming, interactivity, education, and the web from Monday, 3 August through Friday, 7 August 2009 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.

The Happy Duckling had a very successful special preview at Discovery - Scotland's International Film Festival for Children and Young People. Joe Hall, Festival programmer, said: "It was a phenomenal success, of all the films in the programme it was the kid's clear favorite and most often mentioned by teachers... there's nothing like a cinema packed with 200 plus 2 to 6 year olds as a testing ground... Watching it with them was my highlight of the whole festival."
